What is Project Schedule Performance Index?

Schedule Performance Index measures project progress efficiency by comparing Earned Value (work completed) to Planned Value (scheduled work). SPI = EV / PV. Critical for construction project management. SPI > 1.0 indicates ahead of schedule; SPI < 1.0 indicates behind schedule. Used to forecast project completion and identify schedule risk.
